Job Description:

• Responsible for supporting and overseeing the Company’s contracting activities, policies, procedures and practices.
• Provide hands-on negotiation, drafting and administration of contracts, including business process outsourcing, finance, commercial, non-disclosure, intellectual property licensing and other related contracts.
• Serve as legal contact for all matters pertaining to State and Country laws and regulations applicable to the business.
• Determine optimal compliance program to ensure compliance with aforementioned regulations.
• Monitor changes in aforementioned regulations and communicate changes to appropriate personnel.

KRA’s

• Provide timely advice to the company on compliance policy with regard to emerging legislation, agency action, government sponsored programs and developing industry standards.
• Draft and negotiate contracts related to outsourcing, finance, commercial, intellectual property licensing, services, confidentiality, vendor management, and related contracts ensuring adherence to Indian statutory compliances.
• Serve as single point of contact for general questions and dispute resolution with respect to agreements or issues arising from lawsuits and address the same in a timely and efficient manner.
• Draft and maintain library of template agreements for use with third parties.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• The candidates should be an L.L.B./L.L.M from an accredited law school and a company secretary with at least 6-7 years of post-qualification experience.
• The ideal candidate will have broad transactional law experience, preferably including mergers and acquisitions, real estate, commercial, financing, intellectual property licensing and international transactions.
• Should have excellent oratory & drafting skills and have requisite exposure to Corporate, Consumer, Civil, MRTP & Arbitration matters or Labour & Criminal justice matters with a through knowledge of legal compliances and implications of notices etc.
• Should be comfortable working with local government officials, national consumer groups, the media and all employee levels including company executives.
• Willingness to travel within India.
